    Jeff:

A nice looking watch. Very interesting face, and big easy to read bold numbers. Unfortunately, it would be impossible for me, a lefty, who wears my watch on my left wrist, to easily use it.
Being a lefty tends to make one pretty adaptable to the may things designed by right-handed people for right-handed people (even if it is unintentional), but I really do not think this very nice looking watch would work for the likes of me.
I still like my one Momentum Atlas very much, and thanks for that!

    Basa:

I really don’t see the issue that jeff has pointed out – just change wrists. I for one wear my watch as a predominantly right handed person on my right wrist this is not problematic we right handed people have had to deal with this for years. I think the simplicity of the watch dial design and uniqueness of the crowns adds to the overall aesthetics of the watch – certainly under consideration. Just wish it was a white dial.

    • Team Momentum:

Basa, thank you for your positive comments. We Do offer the new “vintage” Pathfinder with a luminous dial option…of course this is more of an “off-white” than a bright white, but we are getting very positive response to it.. We have noted your comments and will certainly consider making a white dial version in a future production.

    David Lalonde:

Great looking watch, and I look forward to seeing the luminous dial in person. Does MEC carry this model? Regarding suitability for which wrist, it doesn’t matter. This watch is just as easily worn on the right or left wrist. I don’t know many people that actually unscrew the crown and set the time or date while wearing the watch. Take it off and adjust as needed. I happen to be left handed and I prefer to wear my watches on the opposite side, my right wrist. Normal crowns and reverse crowns do not matter.

    John:

I have had the Pathfinder III 40 in Luminous / Brown Vintage Leather now for a few months. It is the perfect all around watch. Not to big, not to small. I can wear it out to events, or skiing. The leather strap feels great and is holding up really well. I haven’t had a watch this nice and versatile in years. Thanks for making such a durable, stylish watch Momentum! Love it.

    >>>>Team Momentum: John, thanks so much for taking the time to give us your feedback, and for your positive comments on our new Pathfinder watch.

    Alex:

Looks like a nice update, no matter the hand. I personally think this is the best St.Moritz watch ever – I still have the Pathfinder I and absolutely happy about its general and under-water performance. Well done. Hope they are available with the titanium bracelet option as well since it is the best.

I have ordered this watch and cant provide a review yet but rather, as a lefty, wanted to contribute to the crown positioning discussion. As a left handed person, I have always worn on right hand which faces the crown away from my wrist, IMO this seems far more comfortable than having the crown hitting the back of the hand. (I wear low on the wrist) For watches with chrono or light buttons on the side of the case facing away from my wrist, it is no problem to operate them. None at all. With slightly more effort, I can also set the time and date while wearing the watch. However I typically make these changes before putting the watch on for the day. I am actually more interested to see with how a crown on the back of my hand will feel.

    Simon Johnson:

I’ve only just received my watch so this is a review based on a few hours of use.

The watch certainly looks great and the brown leather strap is especially elegant. The 40mm size is just large enough for my scrawny wrist, but the more chunky guys out there might prefer a bigger watch.

I know this isn’t an expensive watch so I shouldn’t expect perfection, but I find setting the alarm to be difficult as if you turn the crown the wrong way then the date changes. As it’s a 24 hour mechanism you then have to wind through a complete month until one day before today’s date, Then you must alter the time to take it past midnight (rolling the date forward) then set the hands at the correct time.

I dislike that the alarm button and crown are on the left as it’s very difficult to set the alarm without taking the watch off. I don’t see the advantage of having these on the left anyway. However, it does look cool.

In conclusion, it’s a lightweight, comfortable to wear, good looking, easy to read, solidly built and attractive time piece. If it was easier to set the alarm then I’d be even happier, but for the price it’s fantastic value for money.

    • Simon Pennell:

HI Simon. Thanks for your comments. We are glad you are pleased with your watch. As a note, some customers find that a 3 o’clock crown on the right side of a watch (in the traditional position) can “bite” into the wrist, when you bend your wrist: this was the original design idea. When we prototyped the design, many customers commented that they felt the “off-side” crown complemented the vintage style of this model and looked really good…. though we do appreciate that you may need to take off the watch to set it. As a final note: we hope that after you get used to the watch, setting the date or alarm will be instinctive. If the time is already set for am or pm and you inadvertently turn the date a day too far, then you should be able to simply turn the date forward to the correct date and it will function correctly. (without having to repeat the setting processs, set the date to the day before, then turn the hands forward past midnight, etc..)
Hope this helps and we hope you continue to enjoy your watch!

    Robin Day:

I have the first Pathfinder with titanium bracelet made from about 17? years ago. I have only had to replace the quartz movement once and at a fair cost. The Pathfinders are a great, rugged, and practical watch that will serve you for many years.

    Joy Jacobs:

I really like this momentum pathfinder watch. I got this one as my previous one (with the alarm button at the 2 o’clock position) kept bumping off. So I was excited to try one with the buttons on the left side of the watch. I also really like that the alarm button is a push button to turn the alarm on/off versus pulling the button out. The only downside to this watch for me is the small dial for the second hand. As a nurse, it is very difficult to see especially when then the hour and minute hands are over the second hand dial. Create a pathfinder with the full sweep second hand, the alarm, buttons on the left, military time, and large face and numbers, and I would get it in a heartbeat. You should also do some PR in nursing venues as I think this is a perfect watch for nurses.
